Penthouse Flat In Maida Vale, London

I was recommended to work on the furniture and furnishings for this newly converted apartment in a Victorian mansion block, but because the building work was still being completed when I was engaged on the project, I was able add some input into some of the finishing touches where necessary.

The client loved Chanel so I went about furnishing the living/dining/ kitchen area with this in mind. The white sofa, the navy blue velvet chaise longue, the side tables and the dining chairs were all bespoke, and I designed a dining table, which could extend to seat up to 8 people. This table was made by a traditional craftsman who created a French polished finish. The mirror over the mantelpiece came from Christopher Guy.

In the bedroom I designed an under lit bed and full height headboard to incorporate a painting within it at high level. I under-lit the room-dividing wardrobe too and by cladding it’s skirting in highly polished stainless steel it appeared to float above the floor.
